West Midlands Police officer admits possession of indecent images of children

A WEST Midlands Police officer has admitted possession of indecent images of children.

Lee Bartram, aged 44, was arrested at his home address on Monday (August 13) and was charged last night (August 15).

Today (August 16) he appeared at court to admit five counts of making an indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child and two counts of distributing such an image.

The policeman, who is an inspector based in Birmingham city centre, was remanded in custody by Walsall & Aldridge magistrates.




He will appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on September 13.

He has been suspended from West Midlands Police while proceedings continue.


A voluntary referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct by West Midlands Police.
