Alfresco Style Garden Boutique expansion at Hatton Shopping Village

Solihull Editorial 23rd Sep, 2019   0

THE ALFRESCO Style Garden Boutique, a plant centre located at Hatton Shopping Village, is expanding and taking over two existing businesses – the onsite café and farm-shop.

The plans will create seven new jobs and also mean five jobs in the farm shop and cafe have been secure -creating a 16-strong team.

The businesses – run by Lottie Newitt, her partner Mark Henstone and her parents Barrie and Rachel – have been re-branded under the Alfresco Style banner.

The café, which is being renovated and extended is being re-named Alfies, and the farm-shop, which has moved into much larger neighbouring premises will be called Alfresco Style Farm Shop & Deli.

Lottie said: “When we took over the garden boutique in April 2018, it was always our plan to further expand the business.

“It’s great to be working in partnership with my parents and partner as we all share a passion for gardening, floristry and food.

“Once we are fully open we plan to offer a range of workshops and talks with our suppliers on subjects such as how to make pizza and sausages, along with wine and cheese evenings, so we can offer our customers a hands-on experience filling them with inspiration and knowledge”.

Johnnie Arkwright, owner of Hatton Country World, was delighted by the expansion.

He said: “Just as The Alfresco Style is constantly evolving, so is Hatton Shopping Village which is now very much a destination. Visitors can buy a wide variety of products such as a beautiful dress or a new houseplant, as well as hiring an electric bike, having a haircut, browsing through antiques and tasting locally produced gin. Hatton offers something completely different and unique where shopping is a pleasant, enjoyable and laid-back experience.”
