OLTON Golf Club player Sam Easterbrook has receievd a call-up to the England Boys’ squad for the Home Internationals competition.
Easterbrook heads into the tournament off the back of helping England win bronze at the European Team Championship in Geneva, Switzerland.
And Easterbrook forms part of a nine-strong squad alongside Hugh Adams, Josh Berry, Frazer Jones, Kris Kim, Jack Lee, Harry Malin, Jake Plumb and Drew Sykes.
The Olton golfer played in the Home Internationals event last year and recently finished in the top-10 in the Carris Trophy tournament.
Performance manager for men’s golf, Stephen Burnett, said: “We have picked what we feel is the strongest team with players who are in fantastic form.
“We’re looking forward to the tournament, which will be the last England Boys’ Home Internationals for seven of the nine players.”
England Boys’ have won the Home Internationals 20 times, including all of the last six events.
The Home Internationals competition takes place at Lindrick Golf Club in Yorkshire from August 8 to 10.
