SOLIHULL Moors have signed former Manchester United academy defender Tyrell Warren ahead of the start of the 2026/27 National League season.

The 27-year-old full-back left League Two side Grimsby Town at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Warren made 73 appearances for Grimsby in all competitions, including 25 in League Two last term as the Mariners reached the play-off semi-finals.

Moors boss, Chris Millington said: “Tyrell is a very effective defender who also has the ability to create and support attacks.

“As a person, he has a professional, no-nonsense way about him which will be a great value across the course of the season.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Tyrell to the Moors.”

He started his career in Manchester United’s academy before moving to Salford City where he spent time on loan at Radcliffe and Boston United.

Warren later moved to Halifax Town and Barrow where he made 69 appearances and scored four goals across two seasons.

The defender joined Grimsby in 2024 and proved a regular feature in the League Two side’s defender before departing at the end of the 2025/26 campaign.
