FOOTBALL - Robins host Kenilworth in crucial league clash

Solihull Editorial 21st Apr, 2023   0

KNOWLE host Kenilworth Sporting this weekend as the Robins attempt to maintain control of the Midland Football League Division Two title race.

The Robins came from behind to beat Bolehall Swifts in midweek and secure a remarkable 17th successive victory in all competitions.

And another win this weekend would keep Knowle in the driving seat with the Robins third in the table but with a game in hand on second-placed AFC Coventry Rangers and three games in hand on leaders Sutton United.

However, Kenilworth held Knowle to a 2-2 draw back in September and sit seventh in the table despite having lost their last three league matches.

The two teams met in the Les James Challenge Cup last month as the Robins triumphed on penalties following a goalless draw at Hampton Road.

The clubhouse at Hampton Road will be open all afternoon for light snacks and hot and cold drinks.

Knowle’s clash with Kenilworth takes place on Saturday, April 22 with kick-off at 3pm at the Draintech Community Ground.
