KNOWLE are looking for a ninth straight win in all competitions when they return to league action against Fairfield Villa this weekend.

The Robins put seven past Midland Football League Division Three side Feckenham in the Les James Challenge Cup last time out as substitute George Seeley scored a second-half hat-trick.

And that win was Knowle’s eighth in a row in all competitions with the Robins currently top of the Midland Football League Division Two table after 10 matches.

Opponents Fairfield are down in 11th place but also claimed a big 6-0 win in the Cup in their last outing at home to Gornal.

However, Villa are winless in their last three league matches and are yet to taste success on the road this season losing all three of their away games.

Knowle’s joint manager, Clive Seeley said: “It is always a tight game with Fairfield and never easy.

“They have some good players and we shall welcome back Lewis Cosgrove to the Robins’ Nest our one-time captain.”

The clubhouse at Hampton Road will be open all afternoon for hot, cold and alcoholic drinks, as well as snacks.

Entrance is £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.

Knowle’s clash with Fairfield takes place on Saturday, October 14 with kick-off at 3pm at the Draintech Community Ground.
