SUBSTITUTE George Seeley scored a second-half hat-trick as Knowle romped to a 7-0 home win against Feckenham to ease into the next round of the Les James Challenge Cup.

Seeley netted an impressive 21-minute treble after Jack Mullen, Jay Rendell and Nathan Corry all struck in the first half before Tom Craine completed the scoring at the Draintech Community Ground.

Victory extends Knowle’s winning run to eight matches in all competitions, much to the delight of Robins joint boss Clive Seeley.

C Seeley said: “We rotated a little bit because the beauty about this season is that we’ve probably got a stronger squad in depth.

“The clean sheet pleases me, George [Seeley] came on and scored a really good hat-trick and Tom [Craine] was a menace when he came on.

“What we’re good at this year is working hard when we haven’t got the ball, that’s the sign of a good side, we try and instill that in training and the tempo is really good.”

Knowle defender Rob Shaw made a perfectly-timed last ditch tackle in the opening few minutes before Craig Johnson produced an excellent save to keep the game goalless.

The Robins dominated thereafter and took the lead on seven minutes when Mullen headed home Dylon Bennett’s corner before Rendell and Corry both struck before the break to put Knowle in command.

And the Solihull club put their MFL Division Three opponents to the sword in the second period as Seeley scored a quickfire hat-trick before fellow sub Craine completed the rout in injury time.

Knowle are next in action at home to Fairfield Villa on Saturday, October 14 with kick-off at 3pm at the Draintech Community Ground.
