STAFF from Hogarths Hotel visited a local pumpkin farm to collect the pumpkins which will feature on the afternoon tea and lunch menus in the coming weeks.
Alex Alexandrov visited Wasperton Farm, near Barford, to select the finest Pumpkins from the selection grown at the farm.
The farm, which has been owned by Fiona and Dorian Beards for the past six years, is a firm favourite with locals during this time of year and and as a result have decided to call themselves ‘Pumpkins R Us’.
Alex said he was amazed to see so many varieties of Pumpkin.
He added: “We had a great visit and it has given us some really great ideas for some menu options over the next week.
“We will be using many of the pumpkins at this week’s Halloween market which will be held in the hotel on October 28.”
The pumpkins will also be on sale at Hogarths all of this week. The Halloween market will be open from 4pm to 8pm.
Families can expect to be entertained with stories telling, face painting and a small fireworks display.
