A SOLIHULL school has been re-accredited as an Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Centre of Excellence, following a rigorous re-inspection which took place last month.
Lyndon School was first awarded Centre of Excellence status in 2020 by IQM, who described the school as a “welcoming, safe and supportive” learning environment where the wellbeing of learners is an upmost priority.
The inspector who visited in 2020, Eilish McCann praised Lyndon as “an inspiration to all their staff and pupils”, and its re-accreditation highlights the school’s continued efforts to maintain this.
The IQM provides schools across the UK with a nationally recognised framework to becoming educationally inclusive and promote equal opportunities for all pupils, whatever age, gender, ethnicity, attainment and background.
The IQM team help schools evaluate and measure how they are performing – empowering them to improve and grow.
Abid Butt, principal at Lyndon School, part of Summit Learning Trust, said: “I am delighted that Lyndon has been re-accredited as an IQM Centre of Excellence, and proud of our community for making this happen.
“Inspectors have recognised our hard work to ensure that our mission statement, ‘Success through endeavour; Strength through diversity; Ambition through challenge’ is embedded in the whole school experience for all Lyndon students.”
