A MAN has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving following a fatal crash near Henley.

A 27 year-old motorcyclist died after a crash with a car on the A3400 Stratford Road in Wootton Wawen at around 8.45pm on Monday (April 25).

Craig Glenn Allen, age 35 of no fixed address, has been remanded in custody until May 26 when he will appear at Warwick Crown Court charged with causing the man’s death.

Ambulance staff and emergency doctors tried to save the biker, who was in cardiac arrest, but he was confirmed dead at the scene.

A spokeswoman from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “Ambulance staff arrived to find a motorcycle which had been involved in a collision with a car. The motorcyclist was in traumatic cardiac arrest.

“The medic and ambulance staff worked as a team to deliver advanced life support on the man.

“Sadly, the motorcyclist couldn’t be revived and he was confirmed dead on scene.”

Officers would like to hear from anyone who saw either of the vehicles – a silver Ford Focus and a orange Kawasaki motorbike before the crash.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
