MEET Mark, Mark and Mark – the chairmen at the three Solihull branches of Roundtable.
Mark Draisey, Mark Menzies and Mark Irvine will lead their Round Table group in Solihull, Knowle and Shirley respectively.
The organisation – who offer young men aged 18 to 45 the chance to make new friends and try new experiences – is ‘making its mark’ following a busy period of fundraising for Children in Need.
At the helm of the Solihull Round Table is 40-year-old chartered accountant Mark Draisey.
Mr Draisey has been a member of Round Table for over four years and is currently married with two daughters.
Mark Menzies will chair the Knowle & Dorridge Round Table.
42-year-old Mr Menzies – a software programmer and technical architect – has been involved in Round Table for three years.
Shirley Round Table is being led by engineer Mark Irvine – also with three years’ Round Table experience.
Every year, each Table brings Santa and his sleigh to thousands of local homes, raising substantial sums for local charities and good causes in the process.
Ed Smith, chairman of Area 35 Roundtable, said: “Roundtable is a mix of doing something good with the community and having some fun along the way.
“We’ve been doing activities including kayaking and spending social hours together – everyone at the Solihull, Knowle and Shirley Roundtable have developed a great bond.”
