Fundraisers urged to get sporty for The Myton Hospices

FUNDRAISERS are being urged to lace up their trainers and take part in The Myton Hospices Summer of Sport.

With the Euros, Paris Olympics and Paralympic Games all lined up over the coming months, the charity is calling on sports fanatics to get involved with their own sporting event.

Myton, which has hospices in Warwick, Coventry and Rugby, is hoping to raise £5,000 during this Summer of Sport so that they can be there for patients and their families across Warwickshire, now and in the future.

And there are many ways to get involved and raise funds including hosting a sports day at school, in the office or in the community, dressing down in sportswear, doing a football or Olympic Games Quiz, carrying out a Sporting Sweepstake or a Sporting Bake Off, or hosting a five-a-side tournament.

This year the Myton Hospices need to raise £11 million of the £14.3 million it costs to continue providing their services free of charge to patients and their loved ones.
