THE CONSERVATIVE conference in Birmingham brought the party’s top brass to the borough.
As the annual meeting got underway Chancellor George Osborne had a tour of Jaguar Land Rover.
During the visit to the Lode Lane plant, the Chancellor met senior managers as well as local apprentices and saw first-hand the jobs and growth created by the company.
On his way home from the conference Prime Minister David Cameron stopped off at American burger restaurant Five Guys in Touchwood for a spot of lunch.
The Prime Minister and his wife Samantha were given a personal welcome from Touchwood’s general manager, Andrew Cole, as well as from staff and shoppers.
