THE PARENTS of a Castle Bromwich toddler have appeared in court charged with the murder of their son – Levi Blu Cassin – who died last year.

Danielle Cassin, 26, and Mark Piper, 31, are also charged with neglect and causing or allowing the death of a child.

The pair will appear at Birmingham Crown Court on November 17 for trial.

The 22-month-old was found dead by paramedics at an address on Nightingale Avenue in February 2013.

Police said a post-mortem examination revealed he died as a result of substantial abdominal injuries.
