SHIRLEY’S ever-popular Easter Egg Hunt returns on Friday, April 8 – and everyone is invited.
The annual event, organised by the Shirley Town team and which raises money for the Christmas Lights Appeal, promises to be even bigger and better than last year’s record-breaking occasion.
This year’s starting point is Early Years Schoolwear at 407-411 Stratford Road.
From here eager hunters will receive trail clues – which will appear at local businesses including Crust, Prestige, Martin & Co, Explore Learning Capricorn Blinds, Desco Lounge, Shirley Library, Asda, and Nando’s to name just a few – and a bag to collect their goodies in.
Staggered start times are 11am, 11.30am, 12pm and 12.30pm.
There will also be an opportunity to take part in an Egg-cellent craft activity at Shirley Library, and if you are lucky at the last stop, you could win a prize on the tombola and enter the colouring competition.
Anyone taking part will need to bring a pen, some comfortable shoes, and a small contribution of £1.50 towards the Christmas lights fund.
