SPORTS-mad youngsters will have the chance to shoot hoops with the Birmingham As or try their hand at archery and boxing in a fun-packed family fun day at Grace Academy Solihull.
From 12 noon until 3pm this Saturday (July 16) families are encouraged to make their way to the Chelmsley Wood school off Chapelhouse Road for what promises to be a ‘fun-packed’ afternoon.
Over 1,500 people are expected to attend, with activities including donkey rides, soft play, craft sessions, face painting, glitter tattoos, an inflatable slide, bouncy castle, bungee run, stalls, BBQ and Olympic-themed food area.
Funds will be raised for Help Harry Help Others, while students from the Academy will join singers from local primary schools to perform hit songs from the shows.
Laura Wadley, youth and community coordinator at the Academy, said: “This is a fantastic day out with lots to keep families entertained for hours, with many free activities.
“There is always a lovely atmosphere and we do this to give something back to the community.”
