WOODBOURNE Sports Club are appealing for new members across all of their sports teams in football, cricket and bowls.
The club’s junior football teams range from under 8’s to under-14’s whilst they also have a senior cricket team and junior sides from under-9’s to under 13’s – the bowls teams are open to all ages/genders.
Woodbourne are a registered charity as a community amateur sports club (CASC) and are also able to cater for private functions in their recently renovated clubhouse.
These include: birthday parties, weddings, funerals, Christenings, communions, confirmations and other functions with catering available.
The club recently started an indoor short-mat bowling session and aim to add darts in the coming weeks.

Club treasurer Graham Savage said: “We are looking for new members across all the sports, in addition to encouraging our current members to try the activities of the other sections.
“Next year we are looking at having an open age football team here and if there was interest, potentially for girls/ladies teams.
“We would like to attract new members for bowls and cricket – our ambitions include additional teams, incremental sports, further facilities and an all-weather pitch.”
“It’s a family run club – multi-generational – we’re looking for volunteers, supporters and sponsors, every aspect is having to go up a notch as we grow, develop and succeed.
“We would like to set ourselves apart from other local Clubs with our vision and drive for the future.”
The club is located on Rumbush Lane in Earlswood, Solihull and the 2021 membership fees are listed below:
Junior Football Section £25 per month (£300 pa)
Senior Cricket Section £45 per annum + £10 per match
Junior Section £15 per annum if a member of Football Section – no match fees
Junior Section £35 per annum if only a member of cricket section (excludes Allstars & Dynamos that are agreed direct)
Senior Bowls Section £60 per annum + £2.50 per match
Junior Section – £0 + £1 per match
Social Membership £10 per annum
