TRANSFER - Moors sign Stevens from Banbury

Solihull Editorial 14th Mar, 2023   0

SOLIHULL Moors have signed attacker Jack Stevens from National League North side Banbury United.

Stevens joins the club on a two-and-a-half year deal having scored nine goals and provided eight assists in the sixth tier this season after he helped Banbury win the Southern League Premier Central title by a 23-point margin last term.

The 22-year-old scored 15 goals in Banbury’s title-winning campaign despite only joining the club three months into the season.

Stevens said: “I’m delighted to be joining the club, obviously coming from the leagues below I know how big a club this is.

“I’m a forward player in the final third of the pitch, I like to create chances and score goals. I work my socks off and give everything to get three points.

“I’m delighted to be here.”

Moors boss Neal Ardley added: “His potential is staggering and someone who our Head of Recruitment Joe [Taylor] knows well.

“As soon as he arrived at the club, he told me all about Jack and I’ve gone away too and analysed the footage of him.

“That’s what this club is about, we’ve got to try and take these gems at a young age and develop them.

“He’s one we wanted to bring in now and familiarise with the way we play over these last 10 games.”
