SOLIHULL Moors have signed midfielder Oisin Smyth on an initial one-month loan deal from League One side Oxford United.
Smyth is a Northern Ireland under-21 international and has made two first-team appearances for Oxford this season including one against Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup.
The 22-year-old only joined the U’s in January 2022 from NIFL Premiership club Dungannon Swifts.
Smyth said: “I’m really excited to be here and hopefully help the club progress, the set-up here is of a Football League club so the aim is to get to that position.
“My aim is to get across that white line and help the team as much as I can.”
Manager Neal Ardley added: “Oisin is a box-to-box midfielder with plenty of energy and he’s technically very good.
“We’ll have him in initially for a month, hopefully he’ll be able to grow and play a big part for us.
“Now that we’ve lost Ozzy for a couple of weeks, Kyle Storer’s suspended and one or two others in our midfield, we’re obviously short in that area so we need players.
“Oisin has been highly recommended to us and we believe from what we’ve seen Oisin can really help us.”
Meanwhile the club have confirmed that defender Reiss McNally has extended his loan stay at National League North side Kidderminster Harriers until the end of the season with immediate recall.
McNally initially joined Harriers on a one-month loan deal and has made six appearances thus far.
Since his arrival, Russ Penn’s side have jumped from 15th to 12th in the National League North and now sit just four points off the play-off places.
