SOLIHULL Moors have beaten the National League registration deadline to secure the signing of midfielder Callum Reilly.

The 28-year-old arrives on an initial short-term one-month loan from Leyton Orient.

Reilly, who came through the Birmingham City academy, boasts a wealth of Football League experience after making his Blues debut as an 18-year-old back in 2012.

He went on to make 66 appearances in royal blue before signing for Burton Albion, for whom he gained promotion to the Championship with in the 2015/16 season.

On joining the Moors, Reilly said: “I’m delighted to get the deal done as Moors are a team having a really good season.

“I grew up and live in the area so it’s a local club I’ve always looked out for and I’m looking forward to being part of the remaining games this season.”

From 2016/17, Reilly spent four years in League One with three different clubs: Coventry City, Bury and Gillingham.

The centre midfielder then moved to AFC Wimbledon where he made 70 appearances in all competitions, scoring six goals.

He penned a one-year deal at Leyton Orient on deadline day last summer and has featured four times for the O’s this season.
