BIRMINGHAM Brummies have announced the signing of reigning British Champion Adam Ellis.
The 26-year-old, who won the National League title with the club in 2015, has agreed to join the Curtis Sport Brummies and completes their side for the coming season.
However, due to a prior league commitment in France this weekend, Birmingham have named Ben Morley as a member of their team for Saturday’s (March 26, 7pm) Knockout Cup clash at Leicester.
But after weeks of negotiations, team boss Laurence Rogers is thrilled and relieved to finally get his man.
Rogers said: “It really is amazing news for the club.
“Adam was always on our list of potentials but we had to wait for a few things to fall into place.
“We hit a few pitfalls along the way and we’ve had to be patient with one or two things, but he’s a Brummie again and that’s all that matters.
“He’s a top quality rider at this level and to bring the British Champion to Birmingham is big, big news.”
The 2022 Curtis Sport Brummies took to the Perry Barr circuit for the first time on Wednesday afternoon for their traditional Press and Practice session.
