TRANSFER - Ball departs Moors for League Two Rochdale

SOLIHULL MOORS midfielder James Ball has joined League Two side Rochdale subject to FA and EFL approval.

The 26-year-old moves departs for an undisclosed fee, signalling an end to his stay with Moors which spanned over two years.

During his time with the club, Ball made 84 appearances and scored 22 goals for the club.

James returns to the EFL having previously played for Stevenage before his move to Moors in October 2019.

Technical Director, Craig Cope said: “We are extremely disappointed to be losing James at this time.

“However, we respect that James wants to further his career in the EFL as he thoroughly deserves this step up.

“James has had a positive impact at the club since arriving in 2019 and follows the footsteps of several former Moors players into the Football League.”
