SUPERBIKES - Delves undergoes surgery to correct arm pump

Solihull Editorial 18th May, 2022   0

SOLIHULL rider Liam Delves has had surgery to help with arm pump – a common injury sustained by most professional riders.

Delves visited Mike Hayton at the Spire Hospital in Manchester following the last round of the Bennett’s British Superbike Championship at Oulton Park.

After a three-week break, Delves is now preparing for the next round of the series at Donington Park on the short national circuit and is confident the surgery will have cured his problem.

Delves said: “I would like to say thank you to the special people that made this procedure possible and will now take a few days to recover before the next round at my home track of Donington Park on the Rapid Training Rapid CDH Racing Kawasaki Fuelled by Cheshire Mouldings and Woodturnings Ltd.”

The timetable is listed below.

Friday – free practice 1pm and 4.15pm

Saturday – Free practice 9.30am, qualifying 11.50am, race one 20 laps 4.30pm
