LIAM Delves will return to the grid for next season’s Bennetts British Superbike Championship having signed on for a second year with the Rapid CDH Racing Kawasaki team.

The 22-year-old Solihull rider made his debut in the premier class last season, making the leap up from the Pirelli National Junior Superstock Championship where he had been a podium finisher.

Delves narrowly missed out on points in his first season as a British Superbike rider, as he recorded two season best 16th place finishes at Snetterton, and is now ready to kick on in his second season with the team.

Delves said: “I’m excited to be signing for a second season with the Rapid CDH Racing squad. I’m really looking forward to Spanish testing and can’t wait to start the year with a season under my belt.

“I just want to say a massive thank you to my personal sponsors and all the people that believe in me.”

Team Owner Dean Hipwell added: “We are pleased to announce the re-signing of Liam for the 2023 season.

“Liam made the huge step from Superstock 600s into the Superbike class for 2022 and set some good lap times throughout the year.

“With a season completed, we know the areas of improvement, and we’ll both be working on those during winter period in preparation for testing.

“Thank you to all our team partners who continue to work with us, their support is fantastic and we couldn’t do it without them.”

After taking in some winter testing, and then the official BSB testing, Delves will line up for the first round at Silverstone over the Easter weekend of April 7 to 9.
