LIAM Delves is feeling positive ahead of the opening round of this year’s Bennetts British Superbike Championship which takes place at Silverstone over the Easter weekend.
The Solihull rider completed pre-season testing in Spain and the United Kingdom having signed on for a second season with the Rapid Training Rapid CHD Racing team.
And Delves travelled to the Circuito de Navarra in Spain for initial testing before he returned home and headed to Donington Park and then Silverstone only for the weather to halt his progress.
Delves said: “It has been a very productive test for me and I am feeling positive.
“I would like to thank all my team at Rapid CDH Racing for their hard work and support over the past few days and also the special people that made it happen.”
Delves’ best finish in last year’s championship was 16th place at Snetterton with the Solihull rider keen to break into the top-15 this term.
The weekend at Silverstone begins on Friday, April 7 with two free practice sessions at 1pm and 4.05pm.
On Saturday, April 8, free practice begins at 9.50am followed by qualifying at 1.10pm with race one, which comprises 22 laps, at 4.30pm.
And on Sunday, April 9, the warm-up starts at 9.30am followed by two 30-lap races at 1.30pm and 4.30pm respectively.
All of this season’s British Superbike races will be shown live on British Eurosport and Discovery Plus.
