TEAM GB swimmer Charlotte Rigg will return to Blythe Barracudas for the 2019 Club Championships held later this month.
Rigg, who first learnt to swim at the club before later representing the City of Birmingham team while with the Barracudas, returns to the pool where it all began on Saturday October 19 for the annual championships.
The 17-year-old recently competed at the World Junior Swimming Championships in Budapest in the women’s 50m, 100m and 200m breaststroke events.
Also set to attend the club showpiece event will be the Mayor and Mayoress of Solihull, Blythe councillor Ken Hawkins and a representative from new club sponsor Taylor Wimpey.
More than 100 junior swimmers are set to make a splash at the championships, held at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre, with entries still being accepted on the club’s website.
