ENGLAND international athlete Doug Musson smashed the course record for Knowle & Dorridge RC’s showpiece Arden 9 event.
The Notts AC member, who also works at Dorridge-based Helix, broke the record of 45 minutes 30 seconds set by Toby Spencer in 2015, by running a sensational 45:04.
Meanwhile, K&D fielded 43 runners for the event with Chris Sharp leading the team home.
Second man home was Darren John (53:19) in a new personal best while Torsten Roesler (54:23) also ran a PB.
Rosie Marsh led like a captain from the front and ran six minutes faster than last year. Marsh’s 1:00:34 was tantalisingly close to the hour mark and good for fifth woman overall.
Emma Lowe was second K&D woman in 1:03:04 despite a sore knee, while Clare Magee continued her excellent running, clocking 1:04:44.
