DAN Evans and Andy Murray suffered defeat at the quarter-final stage in the men’s doubles of the Olympic tennis competition at the Paris 2024 Games.

Evans, from Solihull, and Murray lost 6-2, 6-4 to American pair Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul at Roland Garros.

The defeat brings an end to Murray’s glittering career with the two-time Wimbledon champion and Olympic gold medallist confirming the Paris Games would be his last event.
