A TEENAGE racing driver from Solihull is hoping to transition from kart racing to cars after completing his GCSEs.
Harrison Morrow has raced karts since 2018 and competes at a national level in the sport.
The 16-year-old holds the ambition of racing single-seater cars competitively.
And he moved a step closer to realising his dream when he test drove a Formula Ford 1600 at Donington Park.
The Alderbrook School pupil shared the track with old Formula One cars and set competitive lap times immediately.
Morrow took to the track for TM Racing and showed maturity and discipline beyond his years when faced with technical issues.
TM Racing team principal, Tom Margetson said: “Apart from the couple of issues we had in the morning I thought it was a very productive day.
“I must say I was very impressed with how Harrison dealt with the oil light saga.
“I can tell you some of my drivers when asked what the oil pressure and water temp was, will reply I don’t know I didn’t look.
“I thought Harrison really got into the swing of it and showed good pace for his first time.
“Brands Hatch will be easier for him with the other drivers there to help and guide him.”
Morrow will return to the track with TM Racing for further testing at Brands Hatch in early August.
The teenager then hopes to make his debut in the United Formula Ford Series
And Morrow is also gearing up for the Formula Ford festival in October.
