KICKBOXING sisters Dheep and Simran Kaur Sawan, from Solihull, won 13 gold medals between them fighting at the WKO World Championships in Barnsley.
Over two days of competition, Dheep and Simran fought against top class international opponents from the United States of America, Africa, Germany, France, Wales, Scotland and Belgium at the Metrodome Leisure Complex.
Between them the sisters won golds in kickboxing (kicks above the waist), k1, low kick, sports boxing, points fighting, full contact and light contact.
The sisters’ latest haul of medals means they have now both passed the 100-gold medal mark achieved at national, English, British, European and World open competitions at home and abroad within their first two years of competing.
Spearheaded by their father as their primary coach, the sisters mostly train at home after converting their conservatory into a gym.
