Immediate turnaround in Delves' sights at Silverstone

Solihull Editorial 4th Sep, 2020   0

THE TASK at hand is a clear one for Liam Delves when he takes to the Silverstone track this weekend.

The Solihull native had a tumultuous afternoon in the second round of the Pirelli National Superstock 600 Championship in Snetterton at the end of August, crashing out in the third lap of the event after appearing to be in control.

After becoming sandwiched between two rivals, Delves was sent into the gravel after an attempt to overtake Ben Luxton, an experience which will drive him to make amends this time around.

But with the 20-year-old’s riding style, in addition to the short, technical circuit best suited to Delves’ Santander Salt TAG Racing Yamaha R6, a strong result should be on the horizon – pending no further collisions.

Delves currently sits ninth in the Championship standings, but only 11 behind third-placed Rhys Irwin on 13 points.
