Furness back on AFC Solihull books

Ben Tyler 8th Aug, 2019

AFC SOLIHULL have brought in three signings ahead of their Midland League Division Three opener at Sutton United on Saturday (3pm).

Forward Dane Reid joins defenders Tony Furness and Luke Smith in putting pen-to-paper, after impressing throughout pre-season.

Furness re-signs for the club to remain Solihull’s longest-serving player, with all three additions hoping to play their part in in bettering last season’s third-place finish, when AFC narrowly missed out on promotion.

The club signed off pre-season on a positive note after beating Division Two side Alcester Town 2-0, thanks to goals from Steve Andrew and Callum Howles.
