OLTON & West Warwicks enjoyed a resounding 4-0 victory at City of Peterborough in EHL Men’s Division One North on Sunday.

The visitors made a dream start when they scored in the second minute through skipper Alex Edmonstone from open play.

Despite a lot of pressure for the rest of the first half, Olton were unable to increase their lead despite having most of the possession.

It was not until 20 minutes into the second half that Dan Sulway eased the tension and potential blushes when he scored from a penalty corner.

Peterborough were left chasing the game and in doing so incurred a yellow card in the 68th minute and Olton took full advantage to score twice.

Josh Green made it 3-0 before Tom Mallett put the icing on the cake a minute later.

It was a game Olton needed to win to keep in touch with the leaders and they now sit comfortably in mid-table with one more game to play before the two-month winter break.

Olton host Bowdon of Greater Manchester on Sunday and the ladies entertain Leeds on Saturday.
