ANDY Whing admits he needs to pick his players up as Solihull Moors prepare to make their second trip to Wembley in the space of six days to take on Gateshead in the FA Trophy final.

Moors suffered a heartbreaking penalty shootout defeat in the National League Promotion Final against Bromley on their first Wembley visit last weekend.

And Solihull will be without cup-tied pair Tahvon Campbell and Max Taylor for the final further depleting Moors already thin squad.

Whing said: “The biggest thing is picking the players back up for this week, it’s going to be a completely different game, the gameplan will have to be different.

“We picked up a couple of injuries but we’ve got another great opportunity at Wembley, to be there twice in six days is an unbelievable achievement in itself.

“Kyle Morrison felt another pop in his foot so he looks like he’ll definitely be out, Max Taylor and Tahvon Campbell are both cup tied as well, we’ll be thin on the ground but we’ll rest, recover and have a right good go

“It will take the players a few days to get their heads around this one, tears have been shed in the dressing room, it’s hard to speak in those moments.

“The players have been absolutely brilliant, they’ve given the club and myself absolutely everything, I love them to bits, they’re a brilliant group, we’ve got a great relationship, that’s why we’ve done so well.

“It’s just unfortunate we didn’t see it through, we’ll have a couple of days off, dust ourselves down and then try to refocus for this weekend.”

Solihull play Gateshead on Saturday, May 11 with kick-off at 4.15pm at Wembley.
