SOLIHULL Moors have announced the signing of experienced midfielder John Bostock subject to league and FA approval.
The 32-year-old has signed a two-year deal with Moors following his departure from League Two side Notts County.
Bostock helped the Magpies win promotion from the National League via the play-offs in 2022/23.
Bostock said: “I’m very pleased, it’s been a process coming to this decision but one I’m very grateful for and I’m pleased to get the season underway.
“It was really important where the club was situated as a family man they’re my priority.
“It came down to speaking to the gaffer, Wardy and the project about how they wanted to play and the plans for the club.
“The club have come quite far very quickly and last year they came so close to taking the next step.”
Moors director of football, Stephen Ward, added: “We are delighted to bring a player of John’s experience and quality to the football club.
“We have all seen the talent he has as a footballer during his career, most recently during his successful time at Notts County.
“We are thrilled to welcome him and his family to the club and we are really looking forward to working with him.
“We know the quality he has, and we are thrilled that he has bought into our vision here at Moors.”
The midfielder began his career at Crystal Palace where he made his debut as a 15-year-old before joining Tottenham Hotspur in 2008.
Following a raft of loan spells, Bostock joined Belgian side Royal Antwerp in 2013 before later moving to OH Leuven who helped win promotion from the Belgian Second Division in 2015.
After brief spells with Bursaspor and Nice, and a loan at Nottingham Forest, Bostock made a permanent return to English football with Doncaster Rovers in January 2021.
He spent 18 months with Rovers before moving to Notts County and scored in the 2023 Promotion Final to send the game to extra-time as the Magpies eventually triumphed on penalties.
Bostock made 37 appearances for County in League Two last season and has won 40 caps for England at youth level.
