SOLIHULL Moors saw their three-game winning run come to an end following a 2-0 defeat at promotion hopefuls York City.
An early goal from Cameron John but the Minstermen ahead before Dipo Akinyemi sealed the points for the home side late on at the LNER Community Stadium.
The result means Solihull sit 14th in the National League table with two matches left to play.
York broke the deadlock after just three minutes as John controlled Malachi Fagan-Walcott’s cutback from the right before finishing on the turn from five-yards out.
And the home side sealed the points in the final minute of regulation time when substitute Akinyemi finished Josh Stones’ cross from the right into the roof of the net.
Solihull are next in action against Rochdale on Tuesday, April 29 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Damson Park.
