SOLIHULL Moors have opted against entering a new National League Cup competition which begins next month.
Moors are one of four National League clubs, along with Barnet, Eastleigh and Southend United, who will not take up their places in the newly-launched competition.
The competition comprises 16 fifth tier clubs and 16 Premier League 2 teams with games to take place in midweek.
It will consist of four groups of eight teams with the two best-placed teams in each group advancing to the knockout stages.
The Premier League 2 teams entering the competition include Brighton and Hove Albion, Fulham, Leeds United, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, West Bromwich Albion, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
A combined prize fund for the cup of £1million, provided by the Premier League, will go to National League clubs.
