SOLIHULL Moors held off a late Barnet fightback to win a seven-goal thriller 4-3 and secure a first home victory in the league since August.
Moors recovered from an early deficit to take command of the game as Jack Stevens, Bradley Stevenson, Sam Bowen and James Gale all struck at Damson Park.
However, league leaders Barnet threatened to stage a late comeback when Zak Brunt and Nicke Kabamba netted in injury time after the latter opened the scoring.
The result means Solihull sit 10th in the National League table, two points outside of the play-off places.
Barnet broke the deadlock on 12 minutes when Kabamba’s shot caught Laurie Walker by surprise and found the bottom left corner after John Bostock coughed up possession just outside his own penalty area.
However, the home side drew level on 36 minutes as Stevens headed in Jamey Osborne’s free-kick from the left edge of the penalty area.
And Moors complete the turnaround two minutes later when Stevenson forced the ball home from close range after excellent work from debutant Michael Adu-Poku.
Solihull extended their lead after the break on 55 minutes as Stevens played Bowen in-behind the Barnet defence and the latter rounded Nick Hayes before finishing into an empty net.
And Moors wrapped up the points on 75 minutes after Adu-Poku beat his man down the right and forced Hayes into a save before Gale turned the loose ball home from six-yards out.
Barnet cut the deficit three minutes into injury time when Brunt cut in from the right and fired a superb shot into the top left corner from 20-yards out.
And the visitors struck again two minutes later as Kabamba bundled Brunt’s excellent cross from a central position into the net from close range.
However, Moors held on to claim just a second home league win of the season.
Solihull are next in action against Woking on Wednesday, October 23 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Damson Park.
