SOLIHULL Moors came from behind to secure a 2-1 win against AFC Fylde and extend their unbeaten run to 10 league matches.
Moors drew level courtesy of a wonder goal from Kade Craig before Josh Kelly completed the turnaround on the stroke of half time after Emeka Obi’s early opener at the ARMCO Arena.
The result means Moors sit second in the National League table, three points behind leaders Chesterfield.
Fylde took the lead on eight minutes when Obi’s header found the net after Josh Kay kept the ball alive at the back post from a corner.
Moors went close to a leveller just past the half-hour mark when Kelly’s effort from distance crashed against the crossbar.
And Matty Warburton, Jamey Osborne and Kelly all tried their luck as the half wore on with the latter denied by Fylde goalkeeper Theo Richardson at the near post.
Moors eventually drew level on 36 minutes when Craig curled a sensational effort into the top-left corner from just outside the penalty area after playing a one-two with Callum Maycock.
And Moors completed the comeback just before half time when Kelly’s low shot from 25-yards out beat Richardson after Jamey Osborne won back possession deep in the Fylde half.
Fylde almost restored parity in first-half injury time when Jonathan Ustabasi burst into the box only for Moors keeper Tommy Simkin to stand tall and make the save.
And the visitors went close again in the second period as Nick Haughton flashed a free-kick inches wide of goal from the edge of the penalty area.
Fylde had one final chance to draw level late on as Haughton’s shot from distance was superbly tipped behind by Simkin at full stretch.
Solihull are next in action at home to Bromley on Saturday, September 23 with kick-off at 3pm at the ARMCO Arena.
