MATT Taylor admits individual errors are still hurting Solihull Moors following a 3-1 defeat away at league leaders Barnet.

Moors fell behind to Dom Telford’s first-half strike only for Fletcher Holman’s first Solihull goal to draw the visitors level shortly after the break at The Hive.

However, a late brace from substitute Lee Ndlovu condemned Moors to defeat with Solihull now winless in their last six league matches.

The result means Solihull sit 11th in the National League table, seven points outside of the play-off places.

Taylor bemoaned the absence of several first team players and insists the club’s injury situation has to change.

Taylor said: “The effort and application of the players was really good, we had a great reaction after half time.

“But the reality is, since I’ve been here, we’re giving away too many goals from individual errors and that is hurting us.

“One of the big things that is really hurting us is how many senior players are injured. That’s something we have to change.

“We pick up too many injuries, I don’t think it’s something that’s new this season, you need your best players available.

“The scoreline is not reflective of the team’s performance, we haven’t got the points we deserve, it’s a reality of where we are.

“We’re in a tough spot at the moment, we need to try and get our players back as soon as possible, otherwise it might be a tough end to the season for us.”

Barnet broke the deadlock on 28 minutes when Telford curled a high shot into the net after Moors failed to deal with a ball down the right.

However, Solihull equalised seconds after the restart in the second half as Holman lashed a stunning effort past Owen Evans from 20-yards out to score his first goal for the club.

The home side reclaimed the lead on 76 minutes as Ndlovu smashed an effort off the underside of the bar from close rangeand the officials deemed the ball to have crossed the line.

And Ndlovu completed the scoring four minutes into injury time when he finished Callum Stead’s low ball in from the right from seven-yards out.

Solihull are next in action against Woking on Wednesday, February 19 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Kingfield Stadium.
