FOOTBALL - Robins set to entertain relegation-threatened Birmingham United

KNOWLE return to league action against relegation-threatened Birmingham United this weekend on Non-League Day.

The Robins have reached two cup finals since their last Midland Football League Division Two outing as they advanced in the Les James Challenge Cup and Birmingham FA Saturday Vase on penalties.

And Knowle have won all 10 of their matches this year as they sit 14 points behind leaders Sutton United with five games in hand.

Opponents Birmingham, formerly Barnt Green Spartak, have lost their last five league matches and have conceded 18 goals during that period.

Birmingham’s poor run of form has seen them drop to second bottom in the table, three points from safety, having played more games than the three teams above them.

The clubhouse at the Draintech Community Ground will be open for hot and cold drinks and light snacks all afternoon.

Entrance is £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.

Knowle’s clash with Birmingham takes place on Saturday, March 25 with kick-off at 3pm at the Draintech Community Ground.
