KNOWLE return to league action to face second-placed Sutton United this weekend.

The Robins were victorious in the Birmignham FA Saturday Vase last weekend with a comfortable 4-0 win away at Jet Blades.

And Knowle face a tough test in Midland Football League Division Two as they take on a Sutton side who sit second in the table just one point off the top and with a game in hand on leaders Cadbury Athletic.

Knowle sit fourth having suffered their first defeat of the campaign at Cadbury last time out in the league and are seven points off the top with two games in hand.

Sutton have lost just twice in 13 league outings and have scored more goals (50) than any other team in the division.

By contrast, Knowle have the league’s best defence, having conceded just 11 goals in 12 matches.

Joint Knowle boss Clive Seeley said: “Sutton United have done brilliantly since coming up.

“We are looking to bounce back after defeat at Cadbury, and we shall be competitive and give them a good game.”

The Club House will be open throughout the afternoon for lights snaks and hot and cold drinks with entrance £4 for adults and £2 for concessions.

Knowle’s clash with Sutton takes place on Saturday, November 26 with kick-off at 2pm at the Draintech Community Ground.
