KARTEL O’Neill Martin scored twice as Knowle came from behind to beat Wake Green 3-1 and advance in the Les James Challenge Cup.
The visitors took an early lead before Charlie Morris levelled minutes later and O’Neill Martin struck either side of half time to secure a comfortable win at the Draintech Community Ground.
Wake Green play one level below Knowle in Midland Football League Division Three and surprised the hosts when Adrian Cooney’s header found the net in the opening minutes.
However, Knowle responded just three minutes later as Morris curled home a fine goal from 18-yards out to restore parity.
And another superb strike, this time from O’Neill-Martin on the hour mark, put Knowle into the lead as the forward found the net from distance.
The home sealed their place in the next round when O’Neill-Martin netted from the penalty spot as the Robins showed their class to dispatch lower league opposition.
Knowle are next in action away at league leaders Sutton United on Saturday, February 4 with kick-off at 2.30pm at Coleshill Road.
