SOLIHULL Moors marched into the first round of the Women’s Vitality F.A.Cup with a dominant 7-0 win against Arnold Eagles Ladies.

Zoe Creaney, Becky Knight and Lyndsey Ross-Baker all scored twice for Moors with Cheyanne Jarvis also on target at the Davisons Law Community Arena.

And Solihull will play Sedgley and Gornal United in the first round proper.

Moors opened the scoring slightly against the run of play when Jarvis slipped her marker and lobbed the ball over the goalkeeper before tapping home from close range.

And Solihull eventually doubled their lead when Knight lashed the ball home from Eva Rogers’ pinpoint pass.

The home side all but settled the tie before half time when Ross-Baker coolly slotted the ball past the Arnold goalkeeper when one-on-one to send Moors into the break with a three-goal lead.

And Solihull extended their lead after the break when captain Creaney pounced on a loose ball and beat the keeper from just inside the penalty area.

It was soon five when Knight grabbed her second of the game before Creaney also secured a brace with a fine finish into the top corner after Rogers’ initial shot was saved into her path.

Moors squandered several further chances before Ross-Baker completed the scoring when she finished past the stranded Arnold goalkeeper.
