SOLIHULL Moors Women could play Aston Villa Women in a mouth-watering Women’s FA Cup fourth round clash after their third round tie against AFC Fylde was postponed last weekend.

Moors were set to play Fylde at the ARMCO Arena in a historic third round tie only for the game to be called off due to a frozen pitch.

However, Moors or Fylde were drawn away to Women’s Super League side Aston Villa in Monday’s draw which will only add to the excitement for Tom Blaymires’ side.

Moors match against Fylde has been rearranged for Sunday, December 18 with kick-off at 1pm and has been moved to the Davisons Law Arena 3G pitch.

Pre-purchased tickets for the original fixture will remain valid for the rescheduled date, however, if supporters wish to be refunded they should contact: [email protected]

The club intends to hold a women’s game on the main ARMCO Arena pitch at a later date in the season.

Victory would secure a sensational away tie against Villa in the next round who have Lionesses stars Rachel Daly and Hannah Hampton on their books as well as Switzerland international Alisha Lehmann.

Moors have already beaten Arnold Eagles, Sedgley and Gornal United and Coventry Sphinx in this season’s competition, scoring at least five goals in each fixture.

Moors Women host Fylde on Sunday, December 18 with kick-off at 1pm on the Davisons Law Arena 3G pitch.
