FOOTBALL - Moors to host 'Honesty Game' against Wealdstone

Solihull Editorial 10th Feb, 2022   0

SOLIHULL MOORS home fixture with Wealdstone on Tuesday, February 22 has been designated as the club’s second ever ‘Honesty Game’ in support of the Solihull Moors Foundation.

Moors will offer supporters the chance to ‘pay what they think is fair’ at their next home fixture with ticket prices scrapped.

Normal ticket prices will be replaced by ‘Honesty Boxes’ with admission to the game FREE, leaving fans to make up their own minds as to how much to pay to watch the game.

All the club is asking in return is for supporters to make a donation to the Solihull Moors Foundation, the club’s charity arm.

Fans generosity will support the Foundation deliver several of their projects across the Solihull community.

Over 2,500 people benefit from the Solihull Moors Foundation through local activities and those deliveries continue to rise in numbers.

Tickets, for both home and away supporters, are now available online by clicking HERE

Although entry is FREE, supporters must head online to obtain a ticket(s) for the fixture which will then be scanned on entry into the ground as normal.

There are a number of ways to make your donation, either ahead of the match or on the day of the game itself.

When collecting your free ticket online, an option to donate £2.50, £5.00 or £10.00 to the Solihull Moors Foundation will be available.

On the day of the game, Foundation staff will be present at the turnstiles and around the ground with Honesty Boxes for supporters to make their cash donations.

Contactless terminals for card payments will also be in operation throughout the evening, making the process to donate smooth and efficient.

The club’s first ‘Honesty Game’ took place in October 2019 when Moors beat Sutton United 2-0 at Damson Park in front of over 3,000 people thanks to goals from Jake Beesley and Danny Wright.

Solihull’s clash with Wealdstone takes place on Tuesday, February 22 with kick-off at 7.45pm at the ARMCO Arena.
