KNOWLE FC’s top scorer, Kartel O’Neill-Martin, has returned to Highgate United after helping the Robins to a first-ever cup double last season.
O’Neill-Martin scored 17 goals for Knowle last term which included the winning penalty in the club’s dramatic Birmingham County FA Saturday Vase triumph.
The striker’s goals helped Knowle finish third in the Midland Football League Division Two table, just two points behind eventual winners Sutton United.
And after a successful season in Solihull, O’Neil-Martin has now returned to former club Highgate who play two levels above in the Midland Football League Premier Division.
O’Neill-Martin won the Top Goalscorer gong as part of the club’s end of season awards whilst Craig Johnson won Players’ Player of the Year.
And Christian McArdle won Managers’ Player of the Year with Lewis Clarke the Commitees’ Player of the Year and Jacob Walton Clubman of the Year.
The club have also released their pre-season schedule ahead of the 2023/24 season with the Robins to play Sporting Club Inkberrow, Balsall and Berkswell, FC Stratford and AFC Birmingham.
