KNOWLE remain top of the Midland Football League Division Two table after securing a 3-1 win against relegation-threatened Littleton.

The Robins won the game courtesy of goals from Nathan Corry, George Seeley and Owain Taylor with Ben Cowlishaw on target for Littleton at the Draintech Community Ground.

And the result means Knowle remain two points clear of Redditch Borough at the top of the table ahead of a crunch clash between the two teams this weekend.

Robins joint manager Matthew Seeley said: “Littleton are in a relegation battle so we knew this wasn’t going to be an easy game, at the end of the day we got the result.

“We’re trying to reserve people for the next two games, it was about getting minutes into legs, it was an excellent performance.

“We’re got four cup finals left, we’ve got to win them all to put any pressure on Redditch Borough and this was a stepping stone towards doing that.”

Knowle are next in action away at Redditch Borough on Saturday, April 27 with kick-off at 3pm at Cherry Tree Walk.
