JAY Rendell scored twice as Knowle bounced back from their opening day defeat with an impressive 4-0 win against Coventrians.
Rendell netted either side of half time after Ben Jones broke the deadlock before George Seeley rounded off the scoring at the Draintech Community Ground.
The result means Knowle sit eighth in the Midland Football League Division Two table after two matches.
Despite a bright start from Coventrians, Knowle took the lead on 36 minutes when Jones powered home a header from a corner.
And the Robins doubled their lead just two minutes later as Rendell blasted home from Jones’s pass to send Knowle into the break with a two-goal lead.
The Robins made it three on 67 minutes as Rendell curled a fine effort into the net from 15-yards out before Seeley completed the scoring seven minutes later with an excellent diving header.
Knowle are next in action away at Lane Head on Saturday, August 12 with kick-off at 3pm at Bloxwich United’s ground.
