KNOWLE romped to a 6-2 victory away at Lutterworth Athletic as Nathan Corry and Odane Barnes both scored twice.

An early brace with Corry put the Robins in command before Barnes extended Knowle’s lead before the half-hour mark at Hall Lane.

Lutterworth reduced the deficit before the break only for Toby Scott and Barnes to stretch the away side’s lead.

And Talib Copeland completed the scoring late on after a Lutterworth substitute scored a consolation goal for the home side.

The result means Knowle sit fifth in the Midland Football League Division One table.

Knowle broke the deadlock after just four minutes when Corry turned home a cross from the right from close range.

And Corry struck again on 12 minutes with another close-range finish following a cross from the left.

The Robins made it three on 23 minutes when Barnes rose highest to head in a corner from the left.

However, Luke Merrall reduced the deficit for Lutterworth four minutes before half time.

Knowle restored their three-goal cushion on 47 minutes as Scott collected a loose ball and curled a low effort into the bottom right corner from 20-yards out.

And Barnes grabbed his second of the game on 70 minutes with another header from a corner.

Lutterworth netted a consolation goal on 82 minutes as substitute Lewis Kouakou found the net moments after his introduction from the bench.

However, the Robins added a sixth goal four minutes from time when the ball broke kindly to Copeland in the box who finished from a few yards out.

Knowle are next in action against Sutton United on Tuesday, August 19 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Coleshill Road.
